In this thread people using a shitty CX600 PSUs. - I'm not saying the CX line is shitty, but the CX600 and CX500 were two of the most often returned PSUs last year. The CX430W is a pretty damn good PSU.

4690k with EVO 212 and AS5 for overclocking needs.

The Asus Z97-E has two, full, PCIex16 slots that will allow you to run both the Asus 960 and your later 980Ti.

As the Asus motherboard has 4 RAM slots, I went with 2x 4GB, DDR3-1866 C9 RAM that have a black enclosure. The Z97-E is a capable overclocking motherboard, but I will say it now, it isn't one of the best available; however, it is a great option from Asus for reasonable overclocking of a 4690k.

1TB Seagate Hard drive.

A White Reference cooler Asus GTX 960. The reasoning for this choice is that once you have the 980Ti in the case as well, it will be more beneficial for the card to be able to move more heat out of the case, instead of circulating it inside the case.

EVGA 850W GS Fully Modular PSU. You won't need to replace your PSU when you buy your 980Ti. It will be able to handle both the 980Ti and the 960 by itself. The EVGA GS line is, quite simply, a fantastic power supply.

SuperBiiz wants $5 of shipping on the ASUS 960, NCIX will give you free shipping with the SHIPPINGPROMO promo code. Amazon will hit you with sales tax, I don't know if B&H will or not though.
