This is for the Gen Z and Millennials. How hard is it for you to buy a home?

It wasn’t very difficult at all.

Bought a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in a very nice neighborhood for $160,000.00 in 2019.

My wife and I had been married for about five years before we bought and during that time lived in an apartment while saving up for the down payment.

I feel super bad for people who have jobs that don’t pay enough or live in areas with a high cost of living. While owning a house can sometimes be a big pain I can’t imagine how depressing it would be to know that you’ll likely never own a home. My advice for you all would be to try to learn a trade or go back to school and major in something stable that provides a decent salary and move to a more affordable part of the country. I know that’s easier said than done but man, the quality of life you will have will probably be so much better.
