I had just started dating this awesome girl and was overcoming some personal problems. I lost my faith in God about 7 years prior to this event occurring, but anyways this one night I had an urge to do something I had not done in a long time: pray. At this time I was still an atheist, so I just gave a quick prayer that went something like "God watch over my girlfriend. Please give me a sign to show me you are real and I will believe in you."

Having forgot about the prayer I went over to my girlfriends house the next day. We were hanging out in her house when before I told her about this prayer or anything she stated to me, "I had a dream last night and it was so vivid and powerful. God was in it and he told me he was watching over me and cared for me." My jaw literally dropped when she told me. I was in utter disbelief. I had not prayed in 7 years and the first time I did, my girlfriend has a dream the next day where my prayers were answered. It is still weird to think about and to type out.

This event is what caused me to go from being an atheist to a believer in God. It is such a mind trip.
