I found a ring in my BF’s dresser.. it’s not anywhere near as nice as the one he gave his ex fiancé...

It's tricky because the ring is just a symbol of the love you two share. It shouldn't matter is it did come from a gumball machine. My ring cost less than £200 and I love it more than any other piece of jewellery I own (except my wedding ring which cost even less).

That being said, I can understand the feelings you're experiencing when comparing the two rings. It does seem unusual to have such a price difference.

However, there could be more to this... My husband recently received an old ring from his grandmother. Half the stones are missing, and the band is damaged. But he plans to take the remaining stones and gold and design a whole new ring for our 15th anniversary. It could be this is a similar thing your partner is planning? At any rate, try not to jump to negative conclusions, as difficult as that may be. Talk to your partner. If he knew you were cleaning that drawer, he probably won't be surprised you found the ring.
