Maybe Elon is just in 'Elon mode' here, but this is just a boneheaded move.

It's hard to say what people go on twitter for, what we do know is that its value is on how absurdly powerful it is, especially when we consider how small is the userbase, relatively speaking.

Elon should know that better than anyone else on the planet, seeing how he'd use it to sway the market, knowingly or otherwise.

And now he's going apeshit, fire everyone, blue marks for everyone, subscriptions... whatever it is that got Twitter to where it's at, he doesn't seem to care about it.

I don't predict a quick death or anything, because there is nothing else out there to fill the void right now, but he sure is making it easy for everyone else.
