lmao, that's not always the case in places like South America, my grandma on my dad's side had indegenous colombian descendants, and yeah some spanish blood. My grandma and my grandpa on my mother's side were first generation immigrants from Italy after WWII. There's class and race stratification in South America, as any other place. The Caribbean has been colonized since the 1400s, and so much mixing has taken place, and refugees or immigrants made their way to my place of birth to say that every white latino is a direct descendant of colonizers, is too big a brush. Not to mention that while there is colorism, it was not de jure segregation as in this fucking country.
