Gay people of Reddit, what was the best/worst reaction you received to coming out?

I never had to do a coming out thing in a traditional sense. Growing up mum would ask me every few months if I had a boyfriend, and when I said no she'd ask if I had a girlfriend then. After being told no again she'd say "Cool, let me know if that changes so you can invite them over!" and that was that.

One of my younger brothers apparently "came out" to her the same way as she continued asking them the same thing. She'd ask about a girlfriend, get a no. Then ask about a boyfriend and he said something along the lines of "I hope to, if our date next week goes well". We're both bi, and sexuality is the one thing she did right when raising me and for that I'm grateful.
