CW: CP

Is it ever possible to ovulate during menstruation? I got a several positive tests last cycle and started taking progesterone due to it being low. Eventually, I stopped getting positives so I chalked it up as another chemical. I stopped taking the progesterone and a few days later, my period started. The thing is, I felt my normal ovulation pains on CD4, which are not like my menstrual cramps. On CD5 my bbt went up and it's gotten consistently higher through today, CD8. I have hypothyroidism and my bbt is higher than it's ever been this early in my cycle. FF won't call it ovulation because it's so early, I guess, but is it possible I ovulated? I can't find a definitive answer online.
