Wow, this made me realize how lucky I am that me and my gf transitioned to veganism together, and that after some debate we often agree about every societal issue (and trust me, there's several, we are heavily ideologically oriented people). We were both superficially aware of the issues of animal exploitation but kept pushing the problem around and eating meat every day. One day I told her I ate everything vegan. The next day she was researching vegan recipes. Soon we never looked back. We're having some problems right now but I always think about how good we handled things and well, she's definitely a keeper and I love her to death, I just don't know if being in a relationship is really my thing.
