[GILGAMESH | GIVE AWAY | 4,OOO,OOO GIL] Trying to encourage people to pay it forwards and be nicer to the people they come across. Come join guys!

If all you do on Gilgamesh is raid and ONLY raiding and farming endgame, then it's likely you'll have more negative experiences simply because you're always putting yourself in a high stress environment all the time. I raid and I socialize and Gilgamesh has been nothing but awesome on both ends.

That being said, I came from a much smaller server and while you might not across the "aggressive" attitudes of end game raiders, you end dealing with another set of bullshit - passive aggressiveness, raiders who are very exclusive and form their own cliques, etc. A small population with a small raiding scene, attitudes like that can be detrimental to the whole server in the long run.

If you're just a casual social player, you probably won't encounter much toxicity but eventually every player will want to progress in game and that's when conflicts of interests start coming up. Coupled with the short supply of players = drama all over the place.

Regardless, whether your goal is to be a social butterfly or end game raider...personally, I find that being on Gilgamesh gives me options. I can easily take a break from the game for 2 months, come back and still get progression in because people are always running older content (even SCoB). A Monday afternoon has around 20 PF groups farming FCoB while even on Coeurl's busiest times on the weekend, you'll see only 5 PF listings.

Very often the players on the smaller servers say how it's because of pre-expansion lull that the reason why the server is dead, but I think they're just turning a blind eye to the reality that there are greener pastures and better opportunities in larger servers.
