Giving your number before meeting?

Man, this is obnoxious. I had the same thing happen to me.

I had given a guy my number - he was exceptionally cute and we had exchanged a lot of great messages. Normally, matches don't show their creepy side until after we meet - that's when I get the weird sex texts. Alas, I get a "What are you doing? I'm in my birthday suit." text that night and after a full day of me decidedly not messaging, the typical "Hey, beautiful." text at 12:45 AM. No.

Cue another dude, two days later. He gives me his number and insists that we talk there, because the app is killing the data on his phone. I give him my number back, and forget it. He texts me without a name, and I don't recognize that it's him - he's not the only guy that has my number, to be honest, who are we kidding here? That fact irks him - he tells me that he doesn't do hit and quits - which eventually leads to his verbal explosion, despite the fact that I ALREADY agreed to get a drink with him Saturday night. No, that's unacceptable - how fucking dare I give my number out to other guys, how dare I not immediately recognize his message?

Thankfully the next day, a super cute interesting potential insisted on having a phone call just to break ice, and things were fine - I'm feeling good about it. It's just super fucking refreshing to have a normal ass conversation with a non-expectant person, Jesus Christ.
