Hey I get you tbh and I do not wish to get into an argument, the Bible in the OT says that Israel was the apple of God's eye, but that changed when they selected other gods instead of him and in Izekiel he tells then that because of their sins and worship to other gods he will select another group of people (the gentiles) that will be his children. So technically rn the only way Israel can become the apple of God's eyes is by repenting and accepting Jesus Christ is Lord. Because there will be a rapture and everything that happens after the rapture will be to punish (yes it is a strong word) but what will happen after will be to punish the nation's who denied the Lord, but especially Israel.
