Unfortunately I think Gwyneth is a one-person celebrity name right now, like Rihanna and Madonna. I really, really would not want to have this name in the USA myself, and I don't see Paltrow going away anytime soon so I think the association could still impact your daughter throughout her childhood and young adulthood. What's worse about it too is that Goop is controversial and she has pushed some products and treatments that are either ridiculous or outright harmful. There's a risk she might even have a worse reputation and association down the road than she does now.

Anyway, you may have already recognized all of that and are still at an impasse with your husband! I agree with you on preferring Gwendolyn.
