Half of Southerners believe the US was founded as ‘explicitly Christian,’ new poll finds

A LOT of religious people in this thread claiming evangelicals are the worst and don’t represent “Christian values” that they themselves grew up in. .... Get. Fucking. Real. Not jut Christians, but most religious folks in general who identity themselves as a Christian/Jew/Muslim, etc. above anything usually lean towards hypocrisy, passing judgement, not living anything that even resembles a life of “moral value” all while pointing fingers at others. Most of my family is Jewish, I grew up Catholic, eventually attended a private Christian high school, studied Islam in the Middle East (by living there) in college and have been to many Protestant and nondenominational churches. A lot of you are doing the same thing you claim isn’t Christian, as in, judging someone’s worth by association and lumping everyone into a singular entity that you all can trash... I’m not religious but when I see this kind of circle jerk, it’s pretty cringe... Love thy fucking neighbor... Or does being from the South or evangelical preclude that?

TLDR: ITT: I am a real Christian and are holier than thou who disagree with me politically or come from a different region of the country.
