“Usually race is considered a social contruct” ~ you, in your above comment. That’s where I got it from. Race is a social construct, if you actually knew anything about biology you’d understand this. Americans consider Latinos a race. Europeans don’t. If you are in any way mixed with black in America (black father white mother for example), you’re considered black. This is different elsewhere. Some people consider Arabs a separate race, some don’t. It’s completely a social construct and depends where you grew up. Don’t condescend to me by saying “this is all stuff I know you understand” after taking a very basic understanding of race yourself. You know it’s more complicated than that. Anyway, I’m not here to debate on race, that’s not the point.

I’m not arguing there’s racism against white people. I’m arguing that Americans are obsessed with race to a ridiculous extent and that they treat groups differently based on this.

Mate, I got into this discussion in the first place because people were speaking on behalf of others and telling them they were wrong. Jesus Christ. You can say “I don’t consider someone born in Hawaii to be hawaiian” all you like. You can’t say “you are not allowed to identify as Hawaiian if you were born in Hawaii”. That’s the point.

I agree that we’re not going to agree, and I seriously doubt your ability to “get it” too. There’s no point in continuing this because you seem to be deliberately not understanding what I’m trying to say and focussing in on technicalities that are nothing to do with the discussion to try and prove there isn’t a double standard.
