Hi all,
I‘m seeking advice for my hair.
I don’t have a real routine yet, but I’ve started trying out the curly girl method and today I plopped for the very first time.
I’ve had curly hair as a kid but started straightening in my late teens and then kept applying heat for over a decade. I’ve started going back to natural about 1.5 years ago but kept heat-styling the flatter parts, so the front and the very top layer on the sides.
The photo shows my hair 95% dry. I know the only way to restore my natural curl in the heat damaged strands is to stop heat styling altogether, but I’m having a really hard time figuring out how to not look like a mess when I have 80% awesome curls and 20% weird straight, wavy-at-best strands.
Can you guys help me find a way to style my hair without curling iron so that my hair can recover? I’m also still in the process of figuring out how much leave-in product I should use.
TIA!
