Help with homebrew campaign idea

You might not need a ton of direction. This will be a dynamic campaign, not a static one. It depends on what your character do, what skills they have when it comes to recognizing what happens and how they are played in the game world.

Some kind of "helpful" NPC to start with, who guides the party can be an idea, just to make sure your group doesn't end up with completely arbitrary errands. This NPC might be part of things that "break down" as the corruption / errors in your world start becoming more apparent.

I'd make a few key "grand NPCs" with motivations and actions, a list of things that will occur and then plan the progression of your campaign based on what the players do in sessions. You can jot down some key events, NPCs and locations that you want to draw players towards that might offer more solid clues.
