Caffeine withdrawal is nothing compared to even mild opiod withdrawal. Quitting kratom will give you nasty flu-like symptoms for up to a week. There's a reason many people on /t/quittingkratom have to take vacation days in order to kick their habit

Stupid me decided to quit at the end of vacation time (well it was more the DEA's decision)

Just worked six straight days going through withdrawals. I don't want to say they were really bad, because they're probably nothing compared to what users of harder opiates go through, but I was suffering pretty badly. I haven't slept in days thanks to restless leg syndrome (the absolute worst symptom for me), I've had pretty severe flu symptoms, runny nose congestion, and awful temperature fluctuations where I'm freezing one moment and burning up the next (the sudden change in weather hasn't helped with that).

I'm for keeping kratom legal. I think when used in moderation it's wonderful, and of course it helps those in pain and suffering from worse addictions. But there is potential for abuse and you pay the price if you do
