High strength cannabis is ruining lives - we need policy change now.

Ok, but I think if you are making a sweeping statement, you need to back it up with evidence. I don’t necessarily disagree with you.

However I firmly believe that weed simply found these people before other things, fast food, gambling, chronic masterbation etc... Given its not chemically addictive, merely desirable on a physiological level, those people have a willpower issue.

Again, this is in your opinion. And I don’t think there has been any discussion about how these cause psychosis? I’m not sure there was an argument about weed turning people into wasters either?

You asking me to source dozens of different studies, a number of which were merely being discussed by reputable sources. I simply couldn't find them all in a reasonable amount of time. But you can find a number that confirm my statements quite easily.

I was looking for evidence for a statement you made. It’s for the person who makes a statement to provide evidence.

The real argument, is that in a deregulated market there is no way of measuring, or monitoring the impact of drug use in a population. The main risk is the changing nature of drugs - strength / quality, and the unknown impact that may have on a user. It is also harder to prevent harm, treat peoples addictions, or understand the longer term consequences of use.

Alcohol is more harmful than a lot of drugs, but governments an health professionals have the luxury of knowing it’s only one compound, with known effects. An unregulated market blows the doors off of the understanding of what people are putting in their bodies.

I’m an advocate of decriminalisation and regulation of all drugs.
