Hippies

I didn't say anything that disagrees with your points.

I went through a fine arts program with strong technical foundations. My only point was that the people who came in every day to pin some glassy-eyed, conventionally attractive model to the wall didn't get much positive attention because they weren't really adding anything new and they never had much to say.

Their technical abilities were never as good as they believed them to be (or if they were, we'd never know because they drew the same shit ever day.) They became really resentful because their work never got the attention they believed it was due.

I'm really sorry you went through a program that didn't suit your needs. There was a significant portion of my class who really should have gone through a commercial illustration track rather than fine art. I was in the same position to a degree, but I think it made me a better artist in the end.

I ended up getting a technical job and I draw flat anime girls on Twitter.
