Why do hockey players start pushing and getting aggressive after the whistle is blown?

Adult league had a dude shove me so I shoved back but I caught him off balance and he and his helmet went flying.

He ranted and raved about wanting to go and when I said I wasn’t fighting anyone in d league and just calm down he started yelling at me that he was gonna kill me when I wasn’t looking next shift. Never made good on the threats tho.

He came over to the bench with his gloves off and I shook his hand before he could say shit and he says I’m not shaking your fucking hand. Let’s go tough guy etc. but then goes back to his bench.

Handshake line, this mother fucker squeezes the shit out of my hand and I just say “no hard feelings bud” and he follows me down the line and then… TICKLES ME UNDER THE FUCKING ARMPIT, smiling.

I shake his hand again and tell him he’s one tough mother fucker and he says the same back.

Hockey is so fucking weird. Especially when beer is involved.
