How do Anarchists think that the ISIS (Daesh) Revolution should have been handled?

If I was Obama I would have given a ton of support to Rojava and the SDF to help them achieve and maintain self-sufficiency, and I would have follow their lead and given support when needed. They are the ones who live there, they are the ones in charge.

An important thing is to not let them become dependent on my support as president of the US. Being dependent on a US president is an extremely unstable relationship.

If there are any other groups similar to the SDF in the area I would give support to them too, that would mean clandestine groups as well since the movement in Rojava has roots in underground activism.

Id also limit the use of drone strikes to the safest possible targets. I dont know if that would be only targets that are confirmed by boots on the ground or not as Im not too knowledgeable on military technology and intelligence.
