How can you lose your citizenship? Let me count the ways

I don't mind it because I think having 2 passports is a 'privilege' or 'advantage' that Australia allows people to have (many countries either don't allow this at all, or restrict it).

Not saying they deserve to lose their citizenship, but a Chinese friend of a friend came out as a student. She partied for about 3 months then dropped out of uni and shacked up with a guy for 5 years just to get a visa/citizenship. Once she was a PR, she dumped him, had an arranged marriage with a Chinese guy (who she'd never met... business deal with parents) and became a citizen shortly after. Once a citizen, she went back to uni (with parents still paying all the way, but a lot less) and openly said 'I shouldn't have gotten Australian citizenship... yeah it's useful for traveling and stuff, but I don't really like this country, and I'll probably just use it so to help me get a visa in the USA or Europe'.

Not saying she's done anything wrong, but as somebody with 1 passport (who could have 3 based on heritage but decided not to because I see myself as being an Aussie at heart) I find such comments a little insulting towards our systems. Also (rightly or wrongly) I feel she's sorta 'hacked' our citizenship system for her own benefit, and (again rightly or wrongly) I think I have the right to feel a little more 'Australian' than her since I've chosen it as my only nationality, and see it as a distinct form of identity rather than a 'perk' that can be gained.

So in short - I think while lots of people have legitimate claims to overseas citizenship, those who choose to have 2 (because it's a bit of a perk for travel...etc) should not be able to enjoy the same certainty that I can as somebody who has chosen to be a 100% Aussie citizen. I visit my family in Italy and Japan + speak those languages (the culture's important) but... when I show my passport at the airport gates, it will ALWAYS have Australia written on it. I'm not Italian/Japanese when it suits me for travel around Europe or whatever...
