I'll give a quick rundown on my story, which I consider to be a success.

Lost my virginity at 20 in a ONS. After that I fell into a downward spiral of drugs and drink, gained 70 lbs over the next 4 years and didn't get laid once. One day I decided I was disgusted with myself and started working out. Over the next year I lost 60 lbs, then another 10, then another 10 until I was down to 190. I'm 6'3'' btw. Suddenly I found myself way more confident. Then I bought some new clothes that fit, started wearing tighter shirts, got a good $25 haircut from my local barber. I kept working out and started going out to bars right by my place. I got rejected a lot because I was kind of a creep to be honest. Oh well, I learned from it. Started using tinder and okcupid and got a match the first night. I met up with her the next week, we went on one date and I didn't escalate, went on another and we made out then she told me it felt weird and she just wanted to be friends. I freaked out due to a scarcity mindset and got upset instead of just moving on. Convinced her to go on one more date with me and she flaked, so I went out that night and got super drunk and got a few numbers. Nothing came of it. The next weekend I went out and hit on a random girl at the bar and we ended up making out. Same thing happened with a different girl the next night. At this point I didn't give a fuck about what other people thought of me. The next week I got a match on OkCupid and met up with the girl and she blew me. The next weekend we met up again and fucked. The next day I got a match on tinder, met up with her the next weekend and we fucked. The next night I went to the bar and talked to some random girl who could have been a fucking model. She invited me over and we fucked. 3 girls in 2 weeks was pretty crazy. Then I met a girl who I actually liked and chased her pretty hard. She played hard to get while I was still seeing two of those 3 earlier girls. Ended up meeting up with the new girl and we fucked, then I dropped the other 2. This girl is my current GF of 6 months.
