I don't even work there and it makes me feel uncomfortable, too. There are so many other things to do besides watch over the baristas like a hawk. It's almost like they think it'll make their drink come faster. I always see this when I'm waiting with people for mobile orders. Go look at some cups, read stuff on your phone, do some self reflection, just do literally anything besides staring for so long.

It bothers me more than it probably should as a customer. Sometimes if I see someone staring at the baristas, I'll stop reading and side eye them a couple of times so that they feel uncomfortable themselves. I feel secondhand embarrassment being next to the gawkers.
