But you forget something. All those things I just listed are made my problem when I experience that ad. They're not putting me off from the value you're interested in exchanging with me for the other things you're providing. But they're putting me off from viewing your ads. My power bill, because processor time takes wattage. Where is my compensation for that? Nobody is benefiting for those 60 seconds EXCEPT your server, and everyone around you, including the marketing company is LOSING.

With the de-valuation of advertising, am I to be made increasingly a slave to advertising, anytime I want to do anything online - because of bad business relationships and poor customer metrics?

Do you need to beat the living shit out of me, and shave 10 years off my life before your server is payed for, and I am still not buying their product?

If you read my rebuttal, I stated that it's a lossy relationship with the marketing company, because it doesn't benefit them enough - it's actually benefiting them less the longer its used and the more this happens:

You say 'some people' might benefit from advertising; who might find it interesting -- but I am never one of those people. I am doing the world a favor by not making them pay for this abusive crap, and by not making me suffer through it.

This is me ignoring it -- in a way that fast-forwards your poor business relationship - because it demonstrates the net effect that bad advertising and poor associations has on customers.

I need enough control to tell your ad to fuck off -- and you need to understand me and learn from me when you've been an asshole. Otherwise you (on behalf of that marketing company) are just wasting your breath with part of what you're trying to offer as an overall solution -- and I would basically punch you in the face if you tried any of the advertising you do to me in person, for how much you've hurt.
