How did you overcome grief and anxiety from losing a loved one?

Well, unfortunately you don't. Some scars just run too deep, at least that's been my experience. My mother died when I was 5, and 27 years later I can still feel the void that created. It gets better with time, but I wouldn't say easier. So, for me, as with the subsequent deaths I've dealt with, I just keep moving. Realistically there wasn't much else to do. Overcoming grief is also a very personal experience, and the grieving process will differ depending upon personal beliefs. For me it forced me to leave religion behind, and in a way that was comforting.

There really is no one answer to your question, however I will say that you are not alone. Everyone has their demons to fight. Be kind.
