I had a friend in AA who was ten years sober and just got his RN license and was living with his girlfriend. Things were going pretty good for him. Then he hurt his back lifting a patient and because he was in the probationary period he lost his job. He made the mistake of taking one of his girlfriends percosets that she had prescribed after her dental surgery without her permission. She got angry with him and they had a huge fight. He went out to a bar and a really cute girl sat down next to him and after drinking with her for a few hours he went back to her place where she turned him on to crack. He instantly became addicted and drained his bank account went back to his girlfriend stole her ATM card and drained her account too. Then he stole her dads laptop that had some very important documents on it. I ran into him on the street and he was a complete mess and only a week before was on the top of the world. He disappeared and. O one knows where he is. That was about 20 years ago. Don’t smoke crack ever.
