How does the rest of the world view US craft beer

I'll comment on the Saison part of your question - and yes, some are very well received. Tank 7 is one example of an American Saison that does well in Europe despite standing out a bit from the traditional Saison mold (strictly style speaking). In 2015 it won Gold in the Strong Blonde/Golden Ale category at the Brussels Beer Challenge, which I think predated the inclusion of a "modern saison" category that might have been a better fit for it today if I'm not mistaken? Anyways, my personal feeling is American craft at it's best and ready to demand world wide respect when it's fresh...especially our hoppy show casings which have dominated the US market trends and popularity. More US breweries will need to purchase or partner with a brewery overseas in order to produce "locally" so consumers in Europe/Asia/Etc. experience their beers as they intended. You're already starting to see that trend with Stone buying a brewery in Germany, and Lagunitas strategically partnering/selling half it's stake to Heineken which opens up that front for them as well.
