How is this fair?

Also, before you leave a comment, keep in mind that I know my stats will drop if I get to a higher SR. That's a given, and I don't mind. The point of this post is solely to say there is something fundamentally wrong with the matchmaking system in overwatch. Sitting in 3400, I have encountered a large variety of players, from silent, hanzo autolockers who do nothing all game to wonderful, friendly, good players who make for a genuinely enjoyable experience. The issue? They're all at 3400. How are they all at what is at least a decent rank? Some of them play at levels that are unimaginably low, to the point where they are worse than platinums. Also, yes, my winrate is above 50%. I will climb, but the issue is that it's so slow and inconsistent that it almost seems to be not worth it. tl;dr: Overwatch competitive matchmaking has always put people far above where they really belong, and it is easy to provide number stats showing how people's quality of play and SR have large disparities between each other.
