How do you feel about living in a country without guns?

Playing devil's advocate here, I understand why Americans love want guns and I understand why they would feel unsafe without them.

Their government, police forces, and other agencies are all heavily armed.

There are a lot of illegal weapons floating around the country that will never be accounted for.

Gun violence is high and will remain high due to the amount of illegal weapons and the crime that goes on in the country.

I simply believe it is too far gone for the US to change their gun culture and I simply would own a gun in the US to feel safer in my own home.

I do believe they should limit the possibilities for a mentally ill minor to purchase a weapon as this seems like a problem but the average Joe probably won't feel safe without one in his/her home.

With that being said, in the UK I would be more concerned about being knifed or hit with a fist. These are issues that can be addressed without a gun. So I would not feel unsafe in the UK without a gun.
