How do we feel about these points? Some are valid, others not so much.

I mean it is much easier for me.

Sure I can make some sort of deep analysis.

But mostly with me it is a combo of a few things.

If there is a lot of drama about a thing then actually advertising about the thing itself before it is even out I am probably simply not gonna bother. At the least I am probably gonna wait a year or so until I remember it and then get to it. I already did that with games like Mass Effect 3. Played it way past the drama.

If it just doesn't feel authentic I am just not gonna bother. Example here would be Nintendo announcing Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and, let's see, Ubisoft announcing Watchdogs. LoZOoT's announcement was all about the wonderment and mystery in a long respected series. UbiSofts announcement was about preordering the game so you can have the "Iconic" formless, grey headwear of the main character in game that wasn't even out yet and had no previous entry.

Lastly, the moment I see 20 minute videos showing and explaining spreadsheets so I know which version of a game to buy I am simply out. No thanks. At most I will at some point get the quasi complete "Game Of the Year Edition!" for cheap.

That's it.
