How the hell do I get over Your Lie in April? Uuuuuggghhhh...

That series broke me as well. No matter how many times I tried not to, I end up watching this and then this, even though I really wanted to get back up. Just thinking about how losing a person that I love the most, really breaks me. In this series, it is prominently shown that most beautiful things will end up disappear sooner or later. Also, the show tells us, we should really appreciate something because nothing lasts forever.

Just finished watching Your Lie in April around 3 weeks ago, and I still haven't get over the show, it literally broke me. I even had to take a break from watching other anime for a few days, even though I would watch the 2 videos every single free time I have. I thought that watching happier animes doesn't really help, so I started by watching Plastic Memories, where it's a show that involves both drama and light heart comedy, and then I watched Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, a more comedic atmosphere, slowly making myself happier and entertained by the comedy. And then I tried watching Steins;Gate, since the fact that the series requires some thinking to put together the puzzle, distracting myself from the void in my heart caused by Your Lie in April. So far, it's been working for me, however it doesn't mean that I've gotten over it. I will always remember Kaori and what she did to save Kousei's life, and I really cherish them.

I don't guarantee that you'll feel the same after doing what I did, but you should try watching something that is funny and dramatic at the same time, such as Kokoro Connect and Sakurasou or something that basically blows your mind with hype, such as Mirai Nikki or Erased.

Good luck, and if you were to recover from this void, I hope you won't forget about how Kaori changed our life!
