How much do you spend on your hobbies?

I suppose you can sort of split hobbies up in to two categories. The one where you spend money on doing things and the one where you spend money on buying things.

So I like to get out a bit at the weekend walking. The access cost to this is low, you probably want a nice cortex jacket and a decent pair of boots but anything after that is pretty much just vanity. Cycling are two others. To really enjoy a bit of downhill you need a decent bike. I had one, smashed it up, if you ride them well they last a few years and cost like £2k. So now I only go a few times a year and rent one at £55 a go.

Then I like watches as well. Now, the total amount of money I have spent on watches is less than what they are currently worth. Anything you have to go on a waiting list for, like anything else, can be sold for a premium to someone who doesn't want to wait. But I've never sold anything! The cost of servicing, repairs, insurance etc is what gets me here.
