Owe half (technically) of a 350.000 euro mortgage. No other debt, but used to have roughly 30K in student loans, which I paid off a few years ago. Have 30-some k USD in a RothIRA and +- 6 years of contributions to a collective retirement fund.

I would be in a much better state had I not spent five years freelancing / under-/unemployed and doing 3 long-distance / international moves. I'm doing what I can to catch up now. The collective retirement funds worry me a little - there's no actual guarantee they'll pay out anything by the time I retire, so I feel like I should save for a fully self-funded retirement, but my country doesn't really have a good system set up for that.

My husband's situation is a lot better, he has more in retirement / investment accounts than our total mortgage. I try to feel financially secure because of it, but that's hard.
