The surfing of YouTube may go hand in hand with the extra urge to play.

When i used to play games what introduced me to entirely new games was vids or streams related to that game.

If you wish to be free of games grip then stay away from anything that advertises the games.

YouTube and streaming services don't seem like ads but that is what they are. . .

Anything to help you to put your mind to thinking about gaming is an ad and will draw you in eventually, with you capitulating willingly :)

The producers of the vids don't have to even intend for their content to be an ad but that is what their content is for you who wishes to be free of gaming's hold on you.
