Now, to address your comment...

I was certainly ignorant in that sense, I personally cleared while on release patch on party finder and despite having some nightmarish parties I didn't think much of it, but you are right in that it wouldn't be fair for people still looking to clear. Maybe this could be implemented when the new tier is released to keep the old one somewhat relevant if they were to disable to option to unsync it? (would like to hear what you think about this).

Considering the what I mentioned before, of the feature only becoming available after a new tier drops would be almost no different than clearing while unsynced, sort of, as there is not much of an achievement by then.

That last point is something I didn't consider, I thought more about the players who were BiS by week 8-12 being able to use the books they don't need on gear just to resell and make more gil for the next crafted gearset/pots/food. But you are right, it could discourage people from clearing when you can buy it for gil. However, I disagree on that there is no RMT for savage. Believe me, there are people paying for the loot or mount (even for extremes) but then again, if replicas are implemented after a tier is released then it won't help reduce RMT. And you are right, it is SE that should be concerned about RMT.

I just wanna point out that this was more of a "shower thoughts" than anything since I highly doubt something like this would be implemented anyway but I wanted to read other opinions on the topic.
