How would you feel about a law that requires people over the age of 70 to pass a specialized driving test in order to continue driving?

Trying to hijack pfys so people see this. Because it's really important. I believe the elderly deserve autonomy and should have the resources to care for themselves. But EVERYONE should be tested for a driving license after 70.

I quit my job at 24 to take care of my grandfather full time when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. At diagnosis, our family took away his gun and his license. And he was livid, but it needed to be done. Several months later, my grandmother turned the wrong way down a one way road and killed a 22 year old girl. Not on impact. The girl was in a coma for 2 months, then she woke up for several weeks, and then she died. My grandmother was unscathed. My grandmother had signs of dementia for a while, but because she had no formal diagnosis, and everyone was focused on my grandfather, it wasn't a "big deal." Now I think every day about this young girl who never got to live her dreams and her family who has to endure this horrible suffering, just because no one bothered to check my grandmothers driving ability.
