As a Hungarian fan, let me tell you what our 0-4 loss meant for me yesterday

England failed to win their group. How's that unlucky on their part? Spain failed to beat Croatia. If anything the teams that should be complaining should be Italy, germany and France for those two fucking up and making their lives more difficult.

I know what you're saying and it's something that statisticians take into account when they name favourites. It's actually why England were suppose to be a good bet as dark horses for the 2010 world cup (they were expected to win their group and take ghana/Uruguays route to the semis).

But I don't see why you're picking on Portugal. They were actually the only team out of Spain, England and them that actually made the decision to play for the draw after they realised what their route to the final would look like. Remember in knockout football, the onus is on the team first not to lose then to win. And based on that, do you really think Portugal are that undeserved in their place in the quarter finals. I actually thought people were underestimating Portugal, prior to the Croatia game (look at my history, I told people nani could be a good differential pick for fantasy and he almost was) and that's because 1) they haven't lost a game, 2) they managed to score 3 goals against the only team that actually came out to play, 3) the Hungary draw came during guereirros injury, and was quite 'lucky' and lastly the Ronaldo factor
