If the church you wanted to attend was far away, would you attend a different nearby church that is more accessible to travel to?

No. I wouldn’t move to any place where the nearest Catholic Church was “hours away” in the first place. If I somehow was stuck in such a location against my choice, there certainly would be nothing to be gained from attending Joe Bob’s Motel Trucker Chapel, or whatever. And even the typical Methodist/Baptist/etc. services aren’t the “same thing” as a Catholic Mass. It’s not a substitution. The two events aren’t comparable.

I’d just go volunteer during that time or something. Wait it out. Continue my obligation to attend Mass when it becomes doable again. Or, just make the drive if “hours away” means only around 2-3 hours away.
