If your child can't sit down quietly for 90 minutes, they're too young for the cinema.

When I saw the Last Jedi in theaters there was a kid 2 rows ahead of me pulling this same shit. Getting up every 5 minutes to walk down the row, constantly asking his parents questions and talking, etc. The worst part was that his parents seemed to encourage it. Instead of telling him to sit down and just watch the movie they kept engaging him throughout. It was so frustrating, and I was with my mom and she'd have gotten mad if I said anything to them. Otherwise I would've gotten up and said "if he can't understand the movie there's no reason for him to be here." I strongly believe that kids of a certain age shouldn't be allowed in theaters. Even if it's a kids movie they can hardly understand what's going on and there's literally no point. I didn't understand half the movies I liked as a kid and I love them so much more now than I ever did. I hardly go out to see movies anyway (for many reasons but the main one being kids that don't belong there) but I make special exceptions for things like Star Wars and Harry Potter and I'd like to actually be able to enjoy the experience of seeing a new movie in a series that means so much to me. Or like Ghibli fest, I love seeing those movies in theaters because I'm not old enough to have seen most of them when they first came out. Sucks that people are always ready to ruin that experience so their crotch goblins can sit with them in utter confusion and restlessness.

Sorry for the rant lol but this is like my biggest pet peeve.
