at least release wasn't entirely their fault.

Look, even if they where more honest about no mans sky, there would still be a release fiasco, because the game was just bad. They had a flood, they had missed milestones, they ran out of money and they couldn't do anything about it.

There are companies out there, like EA and ubisoft, where development doesn't go quite as badly but they still choose to scam everybody.

i really understand why you hate being lied to, but to be honest, to me these just looks like really poor, really naive indi-developers. On the one hand i hate being lied to, but on the other i feel sympathetic for what they got themselves into, kind of like gholum.

i don't think they are scammers, they where just desperate poor indi developers, for that i am sympathetic.
