I'm telling you this guy could be the star of a show called "Guy's I Don't Care About."

The point of the show is that the characters are supposed to seem like mostly normal people with an emphasis on what makes them weird and unique. The humor works off of how these characters play off one another. Jim is supposed to be more of the normal, good-looking (but not distractingly so), straight man who provides a point of reference for the average viewer.

Then they put this guy in who is noticeably better-looking than everyone else and had no real character investment, has him help Pam when they've never intervened before (which also made people defensive on Jim's behalf), and just thought people would like him. He really had no business being in the show.
