Perception is not reality. Reality is reality. Perception is perception. If you drop acid you may perceive a ghost that is not real. It does not exist.

Pedantic means overly detailed, so I’m not sure what you’re trying to say about asserting that ghosts do not exist or have not been proven to exist.

If an entire culture believes that the sun is a god who descends as a living Pharoah, that’s because all of them are wrong and a sun god does not exist. They perceive a sun god. The reality is a star.

You’re making the argument that “if enough people believe a thing is true, then they can be just as easily manipulated by that belief than if the thing were actually true.” A fair argument, and a good thing to understand about humans.

But don’t try to bend the wrong words, just use the right words. Ghosts do not exist/have not been proven to exist. People believe they do, and they are wrong. People hallucinate them, but that is not reality.
