I definitely think people get inspired by others patches (me included) but the difference is I'm about the flex community rather than trying to build up my ego and looking for donations by simple converting/making these things into tweaks. Honestly, I don't like trusting other people's tweaks when I can do it myself.
I just got into an argument with someone named jesse000 (or something like that) HERE because he made a post with "who wants a tweak to craft your iOS like remove Game Center banner or the software update badge" and then he asks for donations in the post. All I said is why do we need another one of these conglomerate tweaks which is usually just a bunch of Flex patches (of which devs normally don't give any credit to the Flex community). I said why not recommend Flex and help grow the Flex community but no, these devs (usually young) rather make a simple little tweak and then take all the credit instead & he blew up on me (because I was right) and mind you, he edited his original comment to include the black/white list argument when that was never originally in it. He basically admitted he uses Flex and in the same breath said he doesn't steal anybody's work. Then he proceeded to tag me on about 5 completely unrelated posts like HERE & HERE & HERE & then a DM just to whine that I'm crushing his hopes and dreams and he's not finishing it anymore, not because I was right but because he doesn't feel like it anymore and I'm an ass. He even tagged me in one of iosTonyKraft/WalmartCandy (or whatever his name is) HERE and basically posed the same question/called him out because all of his stuff is basically Flex patches (which is true and if you remember my previously mentioned contact with him when out of the blue he tried telling me he fixed my patch). No offense to the Tony kid but he's not a real deleveloper but I'm not going to publicly shame him for this and like I said, I assume many people appreciate his Uber tweak since they earn income from that app.
I'm nearly certain cpdigital copied it in the sense of I'm sure he's seen it requested and that it was fulfilled/made by me etc. I never used his tweak but from the comments I've read, he doesn't really add any new invovative things. IMO, his work seems to be more about making preferences look nice etc than actual the quality of its features but hey, this is what most of the community wants... something convenient that looks nice and Flex surely isn't that. LOL
Yeah, I use Tage and noticed that he must not of added the option/method (not sure why, idk maybe he forgot) & I also notice the same thing you describe with my scroll patch not working if just using the home button. No, I only included the quickdo disclaimer in the ios8 version of the patch, not the ios9's version.
That's cool. I really should tally a list for you to communicate back to him because I have quite a few things I've thought of which would improve the patch creation process. Do you have any inside info as to Flex 3?
