I said... I Think You Knew My Father, sir! A guy about this tall? Says the giant as he lowers his hand to roughly the height of a man. Um.. well yes. I said And a lil tuft of hair like this, as he rubs my head. Hey knock it off im not a cat I say. I push his hand away as he giggles. Well have you seen him or not, people round town says he was headed through giant folk land bout, well 10 cycles ago and aint nobody seen that man since. Relax grumbled the giant. You all look the same to me but if my memory serves me I do remember little foot passing through the swamp, it was long ago but few have the courage to enter the forest. Well do you know where he went? I asked anxiously. No but I know who might little one, come with me and take this. The giant hands me a pouch with large seeds similar to the sunflowers back on the farm, everythings bigger here but vaguely familiar. Where we going slow down. I said. Come come I dont have all bright time. The giant said hastily.
As we headed down the muddy trail that was more of a road the smell hit me it was a mix of swamp water, fire, and rotting flesh. We must be getting close as we can see the top of fires that must be 20 feet high reaching near the canopy. Is it safe. I ask. The village? Is it safe for little folk? Ive heard, um well some stories. What like goblins rip men limb from limb and drink their blood? The giant laughed. Its ok little one we dont eat little folk you taste of alcohol and stink far worse than troll. Well that makes me feel better I said feeling unsure of this quest I find myself on.
Finally we arrive to what I can only describe as tribal like dancing, and a festive atmosphere. Everyones chattering in alanguage foreign to my ears. But they seem to be excited of my arrival and Im getting worried. A giant larger than the rest and much older I assume is a chief of some kind approaches. Ahh you have returned, did you find it? Says the chief. Um returned. I asked. Yes with the obelisk, its been quite long Id given up hope. Said the cheif. Oh I think that was my father Im actually here looking for him, whats this obelisk you're talking about? I said. The cheif seeming upset stormed off shaking the ground with the force of a marsquake. You must leave Says the giant you have upset Maoho, NOW LEAVE! Ok ok im goin calm down big guy. I Said
