ISIS News: 9-Year-Old Girl Pregnant After Being Raped By Islamic State Group Militants

But that is hadith, not the Quran. OP said it was reported in the Quran. I don't know why I'm being downvoted for saying it isn't the case and such instances of proud ignorance are becoming increasingly common on here.

As for your links... How convienient is it that in the translation, "it was narrated by Ahmed ibn Saad ibn Al Hakam Abi Maryam that according to his uncle, according to Yahya ibn Ayoub, according to Umara ibn Ghaziyah, according to Abu Salma ibn Abd Arrahman, Aisha said" is simply replaced by "it was narrated that Aisha said"? The same goes for the other Hadith cited. Omitting the long chains of narrations and simply saying that it was just narrated that someone said something makes Hadith appear less like the chinese whispers it really is I guess.

Not only were these hadith compiled and their authenticity evaluated 2 centuries after the passing of Muhammad (pbuh), they also contradict each other regarding this issue as well as other subjects. For instance, Al Tabari mentions one of the age 9 narrations, yet also contradicts it in another statement where he says that All four of Abu Bakr's children (including Aisha) were born during the pre-Islamic period, which makes it impossible that she could have been 9 when her marriage was consummated. She was at least 14 if this is taken as truthful. Many such instances exists.

My point isn't she was not 9, she may have been, but she may as well have been 13, 15, 19 or 21 depending on which narrations you choose to consider. My point is that people should research their claims properly and thoroughly before stating they are absolute facts.

Here is a video that attempts to refute the age 9 narrations with sources and references included: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwi1VL9q4IA

Again, I'm making it clear that my point here isn't that any one narration is superior to others. Only to say that it's not as black and white as everyone on here seems to make it appear to be and that their claims are not necessarily facts.

Do proper research, otherwise you may be spreading misinformation, and I'm not sure that's a burden you'd want. That's all I'm saying.
