IsItBullshit: Humans often have intestinal parasites and should “deworm” themselves like dogs have to.

It's not bullshit to me!

I'm Canadian. 5 siblings, mom was a teacher, we grew up playing the the woods/ lived in mostly rural areas/around animals. My three younger brothers all got pin worms when they were really young, and my mom started deworming all of us every spring after that until we were 12. My sister and I never got worms, but we had to take the drugs just in case. My brothers weren't always great at washing their hands and we shared a lot of toys - which is how they all caught them from each other.

Kids are dumb and sometimes get parasites, my ex got scabies multiple times as a kid growing up in our area. My daughter got headlice 8 times from hugging other kids at school. None of us are dirty people, we were all made to bathe as kids - it just happens when your growing up closer to nature.
