Jackson County woman says she caught STD in car. Auto insurance to pay out $5.2 million

I'm a lawyer with experience and skill in these kinds of cases.

The article is legit, not a mockup. This is the stupidest goddamned thing I've ever heard come out of a court.

I tried to read the actual decision, but the Court of Appeals' website is not working. Probably overloaded by an incredulous public wanting to see just how the fuck they could come to this absurd conclusion.

How an auto insurer is liable for any amount beyond the policy limits is a complete mystery to me. How an auto insurer is liable for the intentional wrongdoing of its insured is also a mystery.

If this decision stands there won't be an insurance company left that's willing to sell car insurance in Missouri.
