And if you look at his actions, and from what I have heard, he did act on this and helped those that were facing discrimination, and even death, world wide due to their sexual orientation. My understanding he has done quite a lot.

What his opposition to this bill is, is not GSA clubs, but the government mandating GSA clubs be in every school. Clubs should not be mandated otherwise they are going to be filled with students that are coerced into it. Clubs of any kind should be formed because they want to be formed. The government should mandate that schools have to have the resources available for a GSA club to start up and function. Also make it known to the students whom they can talk to if they want to form one, and how they can do it.
